Week 4 Results!

You Are Chinese Food

Exotic yet ordinary.

People think they've had enough of you, but they're back for more in an hour.

What Kind of Food Are You?

So I thought this little online quiz was totally appropriate to broadcast my fourth week of the "Trust Plan". It has been one month, a month I promised to abide by whatever craziness Dan came up with and trust one of my biggest struggles into his hands. Overall it turned out pretty well and most importantly, I did not die nor did I kill him AND we still like each other!! quite an accomplishment i think! So now the drama you have all been waiting for. . . the total numbers for the month.
Total weight lost=6 pounds
Total inches lost= 11.5 pounds
Total self-esteem gained=priceless :)
I'm pretty excited and happy about the results. After much contemplating and prayer, I have decided to sign on for another month of this craziness! I had one stipultion that he had to agree to before I would agree to his craziness and that was that he mix us the exercies a bit. It got rather mundane after 4 weeks of the same routine. Now, don't get wrong, it was still harder than all get out, but it would be nice to spice things up a bit. He agreed to that and officially we start phase 2 on Wednesday, the first of February. I'm a little worried about what I'm in for this month as he has already discussed it getting harder and uttering crazy things about running the mile...what? am i back in gym class? Don't want to get marshmall butts (remember that meg?) Anyways, overall i feel good. I feel attractive. I feel confident. I still feel that i lack the self-control to continue on my own but God is working on that and slowly but surely chipping away more and more at my old self.
I really appreciate everyone's encouragement and motivation. It has been a great source of accountability and encouragement to read your postings and know that there are others out there rooting for me to make it! I know this will be a long journey but I'm glad I have friends along for the ride.

Okay let me just tell you what I see from the other side of this little experiment:
First, Sam has been more commited to this exercise/diet regemin than I have ever seen than any other diet I have ever seen her try. Second, Sam has not only lost weight and inches, but she has gotten in much better shape--in fact I think she is giving Billy a run for his money. Third, Sam has developed self-control to such an extent I have to believe that God has been involved in its development, and as such will not only benifit her in her weight loss goals but it will also benifit the Kingdom of God if she invest this new talent. Fourth, Sam is starting to see that she CAN do it, that she CAN do one more rep, that she CAN make Billy look like a punk, that she CAN make/eat health foods even when she is worn out.
Sam you have done such a wonderful job and I love to see you working so hard and being so excited on measurement day. You have exceted my expectations for this first month and have done so with such grace. Bravo my little Billy Beater.

Sam,
Congratulations! I'm so proud of you, too. I think that it is so wonderful that you are putting so much effort into something that's been hard for you. You are doing such a great job! In fact, I was gonna send you a present to celebrate your success, but I don't know your address...
At any rate, you are putting me to shame... I ate a twix bar for breakfast and now I feel gross!

Thanks soo much! Danny you talk about the grace in which I have exceeded your expectations, you must be forgetting the couple of times I was yelling at you to quit telling me i could do it when i was about to die from doing so many ab workouts...:)
Elisa if you still want my address I will e-mail it to you instead of posting so no crazy's find out where I live.let me know. are you being able to work out again yet? i know said you hurt your hip.
I'm also very excited about this week because Danny says we get to celebrate and it is a suprise! I'm hoping it includes a big soda and pollo con queso from El Vaquero..mm or maybe the Pear Tree?(ha that's probably like a 6 month celebration!) anyways! i have that to look forward to this week!!yippee!

Sure, e-mail me up. What is the Pear Tree? I love the Vaq. That's a nice celebration. I don't think he should get you greasy food for a reward though, that sends mixed messages!!... instead, he should give you a gift certificate to go get a manicure or pedicure somewhere nice. My friend Kim gets great pamper-presents. Every once in awhile her boyfriend drops her off at a really nice spa and pays the people in advance to do her hair: cut, color, style, and new products. Isn't that a cute idea?

whoa that's a great idea! i have tried to drop hints at getting a massage since my muscles are so achey...we shall see. Unfortunately for him we have this celebration, valentine's day, and then my birthday all in a row!yea for me!;) yeah i thought about the greasy food thing and it's probably not the best idea to reward working hard at healthy eating with more food but i have my weakenesses...:) The Pear tree is a really nice restaurant outside of macon that has AMAZING food. No kidding, people come from really far away, big cities, and stuff to eat there. It's kind of expensive but well worth it!! i would definitely overstuff myself there. probably a bad idea.
