Week 3 results

I just completed week three and am starting my fourth and final week of the "Trust Plan". This week brings somewhat disappointing results, at least from my perspective. I gained a pound of stayed the same, the scale couldn't really decide. I did lose 4 inches total, which brings the total inches lost to 10, which is good. Dan says that it is o.k. because it probably means I am gaining muscle since I am losing inches but it's still difficult to not see that scale drop. I have had people tell me I look like I'm losing weight but I want to see it! I feel as if I have been working my butt off, eating totally healthy, and drinking enough water to drown a small child but don't feel like my results reflect it. I guess it is possible I have completely unrealistic expectations and that this is totally normal for weight loss and getting in shape. I do feel better and my appetite has decreased like none other. That is another problem possibly. I have not been getting enough calories. I think I am supposed to be getting between 2000-2500 but I usually come in below 1500. Funny, I never thought the struggle with this plan would be getting me to eat More. Anyways, those are the results for this week. I have one more week to decide if I am going to continue to allow Daniel to dictate my eating and exercise habits. We shall see....we shall see...

good for you!!! i am so proud! 10 inches? that is AWESOME! i don't have enough self discipline to do one week of exercising! it sucks not to see the results on the scale but i think dan is right, you are probably gaining some muscle which evens it out. inches are good though because that is usually what lags behind the weight loss.
in other news....did you read about the mother who is upset because she thinks her daughter's elmo book says, "who wants to die?" HA. it was on cnn online.
hey, good job, good job! you are doing GREAT!! And I had a dream that me and you and dan were working with a bunch of tribal people in african building a gigantic bird out of straw last night. Whatever that means.
Thanks for the encouragment guys! Probably at the conclusion of this, next monday, Dan will post his thoughts. He has been wanting to but internet access has been an issue! It is frustrating not to see the pounds dropping off but encouraging to see actual physical changes in my body. I can tell certain areas are getting smaller!
Uh weird dream. . .but it sounds pretty funny! we watched some tribal show the other night but i made him turn it because i was embarrassed because they had no clothes on. . .wonder what that means?:)
Hellllloooooo to you bloggers and fellow commenters! Sam, I've now read ALL of your Trust Plan updates, comments, etc and decided to make the appearance as the Registered Dietitian you mentioned you might be consulting....I'm still waiting for the consult! :o) I'm VERY interested in seeing what Danny has planned for you as far as eating goes....and as a certified personal trainer, I'd have to say that your work out sounds like a great start, but I'd also like to hear exactly what the regime is in that arena as well! :o)
I’d love to help out in any way I can!
I’m so proud of you for taking this journey! This is one of the most difficult to undertake.
Remember the most important thing through your journey is to “Trust in the Lord with ALL of you heart…” Let Him guide you to understand your struggles in this area of your life as well as others, He is the ONLY way to get to a new you that is formed in Him!
My best advice to offer you as far as diet / exercise is concerned is to JOURNAL and REMEMBER the effort you took, the time you spent, and the pain you bore to get to your goal! Once you have reached your long sought after goal, you will find that it’s always easier to maintain than to lose! Changing habits that have taken years to form is HARD WORK….but after the habits are changed, remember to live in your new habit life and the journey will become easier…not EASY, but easier! :o)
Keep up the hard work….”you are beautifully and wonderfully made!”
Love you! Valerie

i think what you said about Trusting in God is so true. I've realized in the past few months what a spiritual battle this really is. Thanks for everything!!!
